Abstract

The hydrological cycle on natural conditions may be considerated a system in equilibrium. But, with the growing urbanization of watersheds are perceived changes that promote modifications in the dynamics of the water cycle are observed perceived. In urban areas, factors like the sealing of land, the channeling of waterways and the extraction of vegetation, trigger or exacerbate erosion and flooding. In this sense this article aims to provide a basis for studies of environmental quality in urban areas considering the human changes in environment.
