Abstract

Permeated by rurality and urbanity, the routine of "temporary rural workers" is quite revealing to whom it proposes to investigate it. Temporally, is marked by linear time, but also by the cyclical time which refers to social processes of agrarian past. Spatially, it is centered on the threshold between country and city. This seizure was objectified by this work, possible only on the premise that space has three levels, namely, social, physical and mental. This sort, we make use of fruitful thinking of Henri Lefebvre, which spans disciplinary boundaries. To this must be the fact that, in this article, several fields of knowledge were explored, such as sociology, anthropology and geography. Moreover, efforts fell also on the labor relations field, usually marked by over - exploitation of temporary workers, commonly called "temporary rural workers, the sugar cane cultivation. The article is broken into two parts. At first, we deal with time and space in the routine of "temporary rural workers." The next moment, the discussions are directed at the seizure of rural and urban anthropology from a dialectic of ?temporary rural workers?.
