Diásporas Negras e as Artes da Cena
Abstract
If in the academic path of the performing arts, the study and understanding of the specificities of black bodies, aesthetics and poetics were constituted in the course of the last century as power and singularity, the first two decades of this century demonstrated the urgency of such study as an urgent reality, from multiple perspectives on the scenic approaches of dance, theater, circus, production design and ways of life in the black diaspora. Following this movement, the present dossier brings together works by artist-researchers who add heterogeneous discourses aligned in an approach that aims to strengthen and visibility of the particularities that constitute the black scene(s) and their transforming role in the contemporary performance.
