Choreography as an Aesthetic Apparatus
DOI:

Scriptural exercise that links the term aesthetic apparatus, forged by the philosopher Déotte, with the term choreography -choreography understood as a structure or organizational event of the dancing body-. Apparatus and choreography have already been related in dance studios; here a new line is proposed. It will be thought what parts of the structure or choreographic event are analogous to the apparatus and how dance can throw an image of apparatus (or sensible display). In turn, and critically, Jacques Rancière's gaze serves here to question the philosophical term and outline one of new emphasis for choreography.
