Esta reflexão parte da experiência com a cenografia em espetáculo experimental produzido em um projeto de extensão da Universidade Federal da Paraíba. A cenografia aqui é conceituada e aplicada como atividade teatral, parte importante da cena, seja ela dramática ou performativa, superando a ideia de decoração ou de coadjuvante na contextualização espacial e temporal. O corpo expressivo do ator, o espaço quase totalmente desprovido de objetos inanimados e a inversão de lugares entre atores e cenário, são colocados em questão no universo da prática cenográfica.
