This academic investigation presents the proposal of a cruel esthetics which has as an artistic/theoretical support the possible and plausible dialogue of the “corpo sem órgãos”, as understood by Antonin Artaud with the art expressions/paintings by Francis Bacon and Butoh. e mutual cross between these esthetics (performing arts and painting) allows us to think that Francis Bacon is a “corpo sem órgãos” who paints and Butoh is the manifestation of the “corpo sem órgaõs” itself in scene. erefore, the aim of this investigation is to think and to clarify points of contact that show the proposal of this cruel esthetics.
