This paper is the dramaturgy of a lecture performance build in 2016 that intends to establish some tangent issues about the scene “XXX” (one of a experimentation field of my doctoral research). Benigna was killed at age of 13 in 1941 after a attempted rape in Santana do Cariri (a city in the state of Ceará, in Brazil). After the fact, she was acclaimed as “Heroine of Chastity” by the local religion. In the scene’s creation process, some images appeared as female representations, coming from the daily media discourses. They have pointed how some customs and beliefs have affected the Brazilian politics. In this paper, three characters – Dilma, Marcela and Benigna – are interwoven with the archetypal images assigned to them by the media discourse. I will point, briefly, forms of female coercion that have mixed to such propagation, the restriction of circulation spaces of these characters and some speeches of acting that have already exercised specific normative gender on the actresses’ bodies, building a scene between dance and theater.
