Abstract

Nos últimos vinte anos, estudos inovadores vêm resgatando a importância e os significados dos objetos entalhados em marfim elaborados durante o gótico europeu. Entre eles encontram-se Gothic Ivory Project, site que reúne mais de 5.000 peças e o catálogo Medieval Ivory Carvings. 1200-1550, publicado pelo Victoria & Albert Museum em 2014 .

Doutora em História pela Universidade Estadual de Campinas/UNICAMP. Professora nos programas de graduação e pós-graduação do Departamento de História da Arte da Universidade Federal de São Paulo/UNIFESP. Vice-coordenadora do Programa de Pós-Graduação em Históira da Arte/UNIFESP. Responsável pelo Núcleo de Pesquisa História da Arte da EFLCH/UNIFESP no Laboratório de Estudos Medievais -  LEME. Tem como principais temas de pesquisa: história e imagens; arte medieval; cultura visual, transferências e circulações artísticas na Idade Média; gravuras tardo-medievais e proto-modernas.
