BIM, Add-in for Revit®, BIM NomenclatureAbstract
The use of BIM has grown and consolidated in the AEC industry. Many countries have already required its use for public work bids. The BIM growth has been accompanied by attempts at standardization by international organizations, governmental entities and universities. The projects standardization has helped to make them accessible to anyone who reads them, regardless of geographic location or discipline (HVAC, structural, electrical among others). Among the various items to be standardized, in this work a tool was developed to allow the standardization of the nomenclature, which is the unique common and mandatory parameter for all BIM models. The objective of the work is to present a parametric modeling process through the solution of an Add-In for the Revit® software, capable of controlling this flow of information. To achieve this objective, programming and database were used in conjunction with Autodesk's BIM platform, Revit®. Within the developed tool, the name was divided into smaller parts that have a defined value according to their parameters, making the name of the elements also their identity. This standardization will make the models not only readable for users but also for other software, through links with various tools in the construction market, such as ERPs and planning tools.
