Descreve-se neste trabalho Rhopalias goyanna n. sp., parasito do intestino de Didelphis azarae azarae (Tomnik, 1825) proveniente de Nerópolis, Estado de Goiás, Brasil. A nova espécie aproxima-se de Rhopalias horridus (Diesing, 1850), da qual é porémfacilmente distinguível pela forma do corpo e armação das probóscidas.
