A new site of occurrence of

Coquillettidia (Rhynchotaeniaj albifera (Prado 1931) (Diptera: Culicidae). The occurrence of Coquilleiiidia <R.) albifera ín the state of Rio de Janeiro, Brazil is herein registered for the first time in the literature
