The article underpins many debates around pluralism, focusing on medical pluralism. Various aspects that problematize different definitions are presented, highlighting pragmatic positions, Marxist and decolonial criticisms. The original core offered to the debate is the outline of a set of pluralistic parameters: 13 in total, divided into three dimensions, which serve to evaluate the different medical systems from a paradigm different from the Eurocentric one.
