Abstract

International Relations in the new millennium present new and renewed interaction flows among a great number of actors and themes. In this context, a deeper reflection on state power and emerging powers becomes extremely relevant. Therefore, we will present the theoretical debate on the concept of emerging
and middle powers in International Political Economy. The objective is to provide a theoretical review that allows us to outline some propositions on the analytical possibilities and limits of these concepts in contemporary times.
