Abstract

Music was reconfigured from the 1990s in its most diverse forms, ranging from the meanings
they acquire for audiences to the ways of creation and execution. From the subsequent format
changes in musical media to current streaming platforms, the forms of technology update used
for music listening have strongly impacted the economic centers of the music industry. The
result of this impact was a crisis that lasted more than a decade and a significant change in
the meanings of music, becoming more focused on politics. In the state of Goiás, in Brazil
and around the world, the reconfiguration of the industrial forms of music has resulted in the
growth of live performance activities. Specialized publications express this fact globally. From
data collection in virtual environment (Internet, social networks, mailing lists, etc.) from 2011
to 2013, we could observe this fact with the independent music scenes in the country. These are
the locus of live music through the production of festivals.
