Abstract

The article seeks to discuss the possibility of accountability in the Brazilian presidential system. Making use of the elections for president as well as for federal representatives, jointly with these agents’ methods of action, one tries to demonstrate how strategies of retrospective voting might succeed or be seriously hampered.
