En las faldas de O´Donnell: discutiendo los alcances del “matrimonio igualitario” en Argentina

El reconocimiento legal de parejas gay-lésbicas suscita debates acalorados en ámbitos académicos y militantes. Mientras algunas posturas críticas advierten los peligros de demandar la institución matrimonial, otras entienden estas reformas, especialmente en Latinoamérica, como un avance democratizador en contextos caracterizados como de “atraso”. Se propone discutir ambas posiciones a la luz del proceso argentino y con los aportes de las teorías críticas del Estado y la transición democrática. Si bienestas teorías no han abordado sino de manera excepcional los problemas ligados a la politización de la sexualidad, es allí (metafóricamente, en las faldas de Guillermo O´Donnell) donde se encuentran las mejores claves para comprender el proceso entorno al “matrimonio igualitario”. Se concluirá que el mismo se inserta en un contexto democratizador. Ahora bien, ¿en qué sentidos?Downloads
