Apesar de seus estilos e propósitos diferentes, “Índios e mamelucos na expansão paulista”, de Sérgio Buarque de Holanda, e Os parceiros do Rio Bonito, de Antonio Candido, podem representar dois modelos epistemológicos nos quais se fundamentam as teorias da relação entre natureza e cultura: o pensamento mágico, característico das sociedades não-modernas, e o pensamento científico, típico das sociedades modernas.Downloads
