The re-experiencing of image

This visual essay offers brief pauses in digital video records of the period when New Zealand became home to many stories. From the moment the foot leaves the ground, the mind becomes restless, expecting what soon comes and what has been left. It is a path with no return. As if we were such fragile beings as to question our understanding of the spaces we inhabit. The journey that does not foresee a return offers itself as an invitation, one of those uncomfortable but seductive ones, at the same time. Operating in our bodies and minds from a reconfiguration of space that highlights our position in it. Remembering who we were and who we are from these encounters makes it possible to perpetuate this constant transformation.
