Abstract

This visual essay presents the series About appearances and desires, a set of objects made by the artist Elke Coelho in 2013. The works are composed from the junction, fitting, overlapping and/or juxtaposition of everyday objects in order to generate other readings and meanings from what is commonly understood as banal.
