The purpose of this text is to analyze how images and narration of the television program Brasil Visto de Cima educate us and act in the construction of geographical imaginations of Florianópolis. Based on the writings of Denis Cosgrove and William Fox (2010), it is understood by geographical imagination an ability to project images on space. For this purpose, we selected the two episodes that portray the city and analyzed its scenes and narration. With this research, we realized that the geographical imaginations evoked by this program explain the intention to commercialize the city in tourism. Florianópolis is seen as an island with exceptional natural characteristics, with landscapes from science fiction movies, reinforcing the name of Magic Island.
