A Revista Visualidades teve seu surgimento marcado por um projeto com objetivo muito claro: a consolidação, no Brasil, de uma publicação que apostaria em incentivar reflexões em que os meandros socioculturais e as expressões de visualidades estivessem conectadas. Assim, com o passar dos anos e dos artigos publicados, a direção tomada primou por tecer uma variedade de relações artísticas, culturais e visuais que se tornam possíveis entres as variadas dimensões das experiências, dos objetos e das expressões humanas em suas invenções, criatividades e visualidades.
