Abstract

This work take as reference the photographic and exhibition project 'Mali', by Jean-Baptiste Huynh, based on the analysis of the plastic and phenomenological dimension of the portraits to think about the construction of the power of the photographic inn in different supports and exhibition dimensions. Based on the individuation of the Maltese faces and the capture of expressive records, we study how these portraits are mobilized in a double process: the photographic dimension seen as an attempt to provide a prototypical alterity that summons the optimism of the gaze, and the relationship between coding and aesthetic form.

Pós-Doutor em Cinema e Audiovisual (Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona - UAB; 2018). Doutor em Sociologia pela Universidad Complutense de Madrid (UCM; 2004). Professor Colaborador do Mestrado e Doutorado em História (PPGHIS\UFPR Linha de Pesqusa Arte, Memória e Narrativa). Professor Adjunto do Mestrado em Cinema e Artes do Vídeo (PPG-CINEAV\UNESPAR). Professor Adjunto da UNESPAR, Campus Curitiba II (Sociologia da Arte, Estudos Visuais, Antropologia Audiovisual). Líder do Grupo de Pesquisa (CNPq) Eikos Imagem e Experiência Estética. Seus estudos abrangem a área dos estudos visuais; arte e memória; antropologia audiovisual; fotografia e trauma; etc. É autor de vários artigos científicos em revistas Qualis Capes periódicos, e dos livros 'Cine Diaspórico Iberoamericano: Fronteras, Itinerarios y Transculturalismos' (Barcelona: UOC, 2016) e 'Arte e Holocausto: Da Produção da Memória à Escrita Fílmica e Fotográfica nas Representações sobre Auschwitz' (Porto Alegre: Sulina, 2019). É organizador, junto com Denise Cogo, do 'Guia de Cinema e Migrações Transnacionais' (Roraima: UFRR, 2018). Dedica-se, atualmente, ao andamento de dois projetos de pesquisa: 'Deveres de Memória, Dilemas Representacionais: Dos Limites entre Arte, Exposição e Testemunho' e 'Arte e Refúgio: mediações interculturais e estudos diaspóricos'.
