Abstract

This text presents a conceptual artistic proposal developed by the authors in the Mojave Desert in California. The Calzona Collective is a installation that seeks to discuss issues related to territorial spaces, occupations, scams in land occupations, gentrification and artistic enjoyment. The collective of artists want to rethink the representations of the Land Art field in the context of the XXI century in remote locations. The collective began acquiring on Ebay vast amounts of land in the Big River region of California. Each acre of land in this region costs about a dollar. This area of ??land is called Calzona. In this territorial space that belongs to individual artists, artists develop their actions and works.
