Lygia Pape: tudo o homem devora
Abstract
A obra de Lygia Pape (Nova Friburgo-RJ, 1929 – Rio de Janeiro-RJ, 2004) atravessou toda a segunda metade do século XX e constituiu-se como referencial na formação da arte contemporânea brasileira.
Iniciada nos anos de 1950, seguiu caminhos inesperados pesquisando diferentes possibilidades de constituição para o trabalho artístico, agregando procedimentos, materiais, linguagens e sentidos os mais diversos. Apaixonada por filosofia e especialmente pelo filósofo grego Heráclito, a artista dialogou com as transformações que os tempos foram lhe apresentando, e atenta às descobertas desenvolveu gravura, escultura, objeto, livro do artista, fotografia, instalação, cinema de artista e propostas coletivas, encadeando todos estes trabalhos numa teia em que cada filamento encontra–se conectado ao outro.
