This work is part of an ethnographic researching project that pursues to analyze the creative work of Mexican artisan-artists. The aim is to think and to reflect about some settings acquired by the Mexican artisanal trade and even more specifically about the induction of some artisans to the coterie of art. Engaging in artisanal contests, fairs, gallery and museum exhibitions are indicatives of these new scenes that disseminate and recognize the artwork of these artisans.
Keywords: art, handicrafts, artwork of artisans
