Abstract

In this article, we will reflect on the influences and processes involved in construction, development and establishment of the “Bahian samba school” Carnival in Rio, as the product of constant negotiation of meaning, by recognizing the visual signs made on their wardrobe, set of influences ranging dialogue with the plurality and diversity of cultural conventions, and considering the story of a carnival produced by a series of tensions manifested in its urban space as a reflection on the ongoing construction of these representations and reframes.
