Images in the 21st Century: reality, perspectives and prospects
Abstract
Tomado pelo título, Imagery in the 21st Century, livro editado por Oliver Grau e Thomas Veigl (The MIT Press, 2011, p. 410), certamente a expectativa criada seria uma prospecção do conjunto de imagens que vigorará, enquanto estatuto, para este novo século, que já toma ares de pouco jovial, finda a primeira década. Entretanto, ao percorrer as 410 páginas onde estão distribuídos os vinte artigos de vinte e cinco autores, organizados em quatro seções, o que se verifica é um esforço de situar os campos da imagem, em uma visada panorâmica que privilegia a abrangência desta. Não seria de estranhar, neste sentido, que imagens em arte, tecnologia, saúde, biologia, dentre outras, estejam presentes no livro (...)Downloads
