Abstract

The company presents itself in the midst of a major information revolution, developing the human body and social sensitivities totally different from those presented in past centuries. Thus, the digital age we live in makes many artists start a dialogue with the virtual media, making use of interfaces and networks as tools for developing their work. Analyzing the use of mobile media through the work of artist Giselle Beiguelman, one issue that is permanent in the art scene is the contemporary art and technology can co-inhabit the same space for reflection within the creative processes of artists. We conclude that new technologies become ubiquitous to the point we can not discern clearly where they begin and where they end, so it is natural that we begin to live with the humanization of technology, a humanization through artistic expressions in their unfolding in the hands of sensitive artists as Beiguelman.
