Abstract

Rousseau, H. Arendt and B. Russell - are arguably great spirits. Arendt, an eternal foreigner and immigrant. Russell, an eloquent example of what a world citizen can be. Rousseau, someone who, with an outmoded radicalism, calls into question everything we now take for granted about what we think man and citizen are, and therefore also what the education of foreigners, immigrants, refugees, that we all are, can be. It might be worth listening for a moment to what they have to say about citizenship education.

Olga Pombo, Universidade de Lisboa

Olga Pombo é licenciada em Filosofia pela Faculdade de Letras da Universidade de Lisboa, Mestre em Filosofia Moderna pela Faculdade de Ciências Sociais e Humanas da Universidade Nova de Lisboa, doutorou-se em História e Filosofia da Educação pela Faculdade de Ciências da Universidade de Lisboa, fez a Agregação em História e Filosofia da Ciência na Faculdade de Ciências da Universidade de Lisboa. Foi professora da Faculdade de Ciências da Universidade de Lisboa, fundadora e Coordenadora Científica do Centro de Filosofias das Ciências da Universidade de Lisboa, Directora do Programa Doutoral (FCT) em Filosofia da Ciência, Tecnologia, Arte e Sociedade (FCUL) até à sua  jubilação em 2016.
