O cadastro no sistema e posterior acesso, por meio de login e senha, são obrigatórios para a submissão de trabalhos, bem como para acompanhar o processo editorial em curso. Acesso em uma conta existente ou Registrar uma nova conta.

Condições para submissão

Como parte do processo de submissão, os autores são obrigados a verificar a conformidade da submissão em relação a todos os itens listados a seguir. As submissões que não estiverem de acordo com as normas serão devolvidas aos autores.
  • A contribuição é original e inédita, e não está sendo avaliada para publicação por outra revista; caso contrário, deve-se justificar em "Comentários ao editor".
  • O arquivo da submissão está em formato Microsoft Word
  • URLs para as referências foram informadas quando possível.
  • O texto está em espaço simples; usa uma fonte de 12-pontos; emprega itálico em vez de sublinhado (exceto em endereços URL); as figuras e tabelas estão inseridas no texto, não no final do documento na forma de anexos.
  • O texto segue os padrões de estilo e requisitos bibliográficos descritos em Diretrizes para Autores, na página Sobre a Revista.

Authors Submission Guidelines

Manuscripts should be submitted to the Revista de Patologia Tropical/ Journal of Tropical Pathology via the website: http://www.revistas.ufg.br/index or by e-mail: rpt.iptsp@ufg.br. In both cases, it is required to include the completed and signed Manuscript Submission Checklist.

Manuscript preparation
The manuscript must be prepared using Microsoft Word (version 2003 or later), with Times New Roman 12-point font, 1.5 line spacing throughout, and margins of at least 3 cm. All paragraphs must be justified. The first line of each paragraph should be indented by 1.25 cm (use the paragraph formatting tool in Word; do not use tabs or spaces). Manuscripts must not exceed 4,500 words, including up to six insertions (figures and tables), and must not exceed 6MB. Only manuscripts written in American English are accepted.

ORIGINAL ARTICLES
TITLE; AUTHORS; SCIENTIFIC AFFILIATIONS (in the following order Institution, Department, Sector, City, State, Country); ORCID FOR EACH AUTHOR; ABSTRACT (with no subsections like Introduction, Methods, Results, and Discussion); KEY WORDS (three to five); INTRODUCTION; MATERIAL AND METHODS; RESULTS; DISCUSSION (with no Conclusion section); ACKNOWLEDGMENTS; CONFLICT OF INTEREST; USE OF THE ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE; REFERENCES.

CASE REPORT
TITLE; AUTHORS; SCIENTIFIC AFFILIATIONS (in the following order Institution, Department, Sector, City, State, Country); ORCID FOR EACH AUTHOR; ABSTRACT (with no subsections like Introduction, Methods, Results, and Discussion); KEY WORDS (three to five); INTRODUCTION; CASE REPORT; DISCUSSION (with no Conclusion section); ACKNOWLEDGMENTS; CONFLICT OF INTEREST; USE OF THE ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE; REFERENCES.

REVIEW
Review manuscripts should generally follow the same structure as original articles described above. Specific requirements may vary depending on the type of review (e.g., narrative, systematic, scoping, or meta-analysis).

Citations and References
CITATIONS
The citations in the text must be written in the following format:
• If the author’s name is part of a sentence:
-One author: Rocha (2025)
-Two authors: Borba and Medeiros (2025)
-More than two authors: Silva et al. (2025)

• When the author’s name is not part of the sentence, use parentheses: (Rocha, 2025) or (Borba and Medeiros, 2025) or (Silva et al., 2025).

Important: footnotes should be avoided.

REFERENCE LIST
References should be listed alphabetically, numbered sequentially, and organized by the last name(s) of the author(s). When citing multiple works by the same author, arrange the citations in chronological order by publication date.

NOTES
• References must follow the Uniform Requirements for Manuscripts Submitted to Biomedical Journals (ICMJE), as outlined in Citing Medicine (U.S. National Library of Medicine: http://www.nlm.nih.gov/citingmedicine).

• Journal titles should be abbreviated according to the style used in Index Medicus (https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/nlmcatalog/journals).

Illustrations and Tables
Figures and tables must be inserted in the manuscript using the Insert tool in Microsoft Word, rather than by using the “copy and paste” function.

Figures
Figures and their legends can be submitted either within the manuscript or as separate files. All figures must adhere to high-quality standards, preferably in JPEG format, with a minimum resolution of 300 dpi and a width of at least 11 cm. Figures should be numbered consecutively in the text, starting with Figure 1, Figure 2, and so on. The authors are encouraged to submit color photographs.

Tables
Tables must be created in Microsoft Word, along with their corresponding legends.

Copyright Statement
Manuscript submission must be accompanied by a cover letter signed by the corresponding author, who must also have completed and signed the Manuscript Submission Checklist, attesting that all co-authors are aware of and agree with the submission. The letter must confirm that the manuscript, in whole or in part, has not been published and is not under consideration for publication elsewhere. Authors must also agree to transfer copyright in all media and formats to the Revista de Patologia Tropical/ Journal of Tropical Pathology.

Privacy Statement
Names and email addresses provided to this journal will be used exclusively for the journal’s editorial and publishing services. They will not be available for any other purpose or to any third party.

Statement on the Use of Artificial Intelligence
