Relationship between quality of life and residential land prices: analysis of spatial segregation patterns in the main cities of Colombia

The main objective of this research is to describe the influence of land value on the incidence and geographic patterns of segregation in Bogotá, Cali and Medellín. Based on a conceptual and methodological reflection, different geostatistical techniques are applied to calculate an indica lomerations and its relationship with the distribution of residential land values is evaluated. As tor at a micro scale that allows observing the spatialization of the quality of life index in the three urban agg a result, it is obtained that segregation presents particularities in the spatial trend present in Bogotá, Cali and Medellín, but in all three cases there is a statistically and spatially significant distribution with residential land values. The research presents significant contributions to the field of study as it is the first comparative study on residential segregation in the main cities of Colombia and makes a statistical and cartographic effort to generate indicators that can continue to be monitored.
